Samsung Kies is a desktop application which lets you connect your PC with your handset and manage your contents such as photos, music, contacts and your apps! I know it’s bulky for your Samsung Galaxy S smartphone but you have to install it on your system for performing updates of the firmware on your phone!
Many of you guys are not going to install it but YOU HAVE TO! Because it also contains the USB Drivers for your phone. Well, not anymore as I’ve got the solution for it!
I just got my hands on the extracted Samsung USB driver v1.3.850.0 for Windows 7 [32-bit and 64-bit] from a source which can be easily installed without having the need to install Samsung Kies. Use the link below to download it!

Thanks again
Wanted to see if I could possibly be told how we install the drivers on our phone? if thats where they need to go. Also I have downloaded the driver(in your link) and unzipped the file. But there is about 25 different folders to click on. Then any of them I try to open says they can not be opened.. Even with ADOBE.. so I dont know what to do. I did all the steps to “Root” my phone. But at the end of it, I always get the message that it could not mount and did not have permission for other things.. What am I doing wrong. But it does say at the end. That my phone is “Rooted”. How can I tell if it is. Please get ahold of me. You can look me up on facebook by http://www.facebook.com/jessedawn. Or my email kiddsdjservice82@yahoo.com. Please help.. Thanks.
