Give Your Windows PC an iOS Inspired Lock Screen with iPhoneLS

iOS inspired style lock-screen for Windows PC, excited — right? Well, that’s true now there’s a new and innovative screensaver which I found on Microsoft’s download center and decided to share it with the iOS fans out there.

This iOS style screensaver designed for the windows pc is called “iPhoneLS”. It brings the same lock-screen as we all have seen on our iPhones, after that this screensaver starts running on your screen you will see “Slide to unlock” on your windows screen and you will be required to slide it. The only difference is of “touch”.

For running iPhoneLS screensaver on your pc, you will need to install .Net Framework 3.5 or higher in Windows 7 enivronment. And about the installation process, let me help you.

Step #1. Go and download .NET Framework from Microsoft’s download website.

Step #2. Install .Net Framework on your windows machine.

Step #3. Download iPhoneLS application [click here] , because it’s in .rar extension you might need an extractor tool for it: Winrar

Extract the files somewhere but make sure you don’t remove them because after execution of installation the screensaver is linked with these files.

Step #4. Once download and extracted, now right-click on the “Screen Saver” file and than click on “Install”.

Step #5. It will take just a few flashes and you are done with the installation of the iPhoneLS screensaver. You will see the “Screen Saver Settings” on your desktop, select iPhoneLS as your screen, set ‘wait time’ to 1 minute and apply the settings.

Go to your desktop, don’t move and wait for 1 minute — you will see something like this:

Congrats, you’ve finally done it. The iPhone inspired lock-screen is now on your pc. But I would love this little smart app if it would have provided some core options i.e passwords and other customizations. I hope you people will like it.

After setting the screen saver settings i wait 1 minute and a message appears saying “iPhone LS has stopped working” Please help!

  2. MadXperts says:

Sounds like you’ve changed the location of the iPhoneLS files after installation. Reinstall the files and make sure the file-location remains unchanged.

If this doesn’t work, there might be a software breach on your operating system. Try fixing it.

make sure you have the actual version (1.3.1), redownload if not..

also make sure you have installed .NET Framework, and dont move the file once its installed

btw in the new version there are cusomization now possible, e.g. change your background, carrier name etc.

  4. Zack says:

What location should the files be in?

  5. Raphael says:

somewhere the application does not need admin rights to start, e.g. in your data (documents for example)
