Be prepared, we have got some really good news for you regarding iPhone 4S untethered jailbreak. Pod2g, the famous iOS hacker, Chronic Dev Team member and the guy who currently owns full attention of the jailbreak community has just updated his work status for the much-anticipated untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S.
According to Pod2g’s recent update, he is almost done with the code, having fixed stability issues and has also rectified “processor cache issues” which was hindering his work progress. But now, he is all done and it seems as if we are much closer to the final release.
The news came out from his recent blog post where he announced his breakthrough about fixing all the recent issues and he also thanked Jay Freeman also known as Saurik, for helping him to create a more stable jailbreak.
Here’s what he said:
OK, figured it out, the A5 cache is not a problem anymore.
I sorted it out by doing the untether in a single thread and by flushing all the dcache then all the icache in a row at a strategical point of the process.
It took me like a hundred of tests to find the key. Hard for the nerves.
Another news : I discussed with @saurik today about the launchd boot process, and he’s found one missing piece of the puzzle I needed to have a perfectly stable jailbreak. He’s definitly one of the best iOS gurus out there. Thank you saurik!
Earlier this day Pod2g was having trouble with multicore cache management, he had also made it clear to the jailbreak community that he is very close to finishing but due to “processor cache issues” he was not able to complete his work.
But right now, there is absolutely nothing to worry about, Pod2g is doing well and we have a strong feeling that he will release his untethered jailbreak in the next couple of days.
