It’s a good day today and we have got some really good news for the jailbreak community and our readers. Previously we heard a group of iOS hackers working together to bring a legal Siri port to iPhone 4. And today finally the developers behind the news show up with a video teaser where they show off Siri fully functional and ported on iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G and according to the developers, their method to bring Siri port on iPhone 4 is legal and safe. The update was brought into focus by JBNation.
The developers are working on a project named ‘i4Siri’ which aims to bring Siri to iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod Touch 4G running iOS 5 without 4S authorization key regeneration. Although there is no confirmation for iPhone 3GS but we have a feeling that developers will not neglect it.
According to the developers, i4Siri aims to bring Siri to older devices with the help of a few Cydia tweaks. They are also looking forward to open up a proxy server allowing users to connect with Siri Proxy Server ensuring full data protection. They are also looking forward jailbreakers to send donations to help them buy VPS server for Siri Proxy.
Here’s the latest status update by the team i4Siri:
Last night I spent quite come time working on a script that will auto generate the necessary Siri certificates. This will allow for easy 4S key grabbing. This script should be released soon. The next step is to release a tool that will help users install a GUI and then we will release our auth keys cydia tweak.
The long-term goal will be getting the Siri proxy server fully up and running. We thank everyone for your generous donations. We hope to be able to purchase the server after Christmas (The server company is on break). We are on Christmas break from school so that means that we will have a lot of time to spend working on this port.

That’s a really good news for the community and specially for those having iPhone 4 and 3GS. As mentioned in their current status update, they will be releasing the script soon and will purchase servers just after the Christmas.
So that’s all for now. You can drop us your email address and we will let you know as soon as the developers announce the release date or send an update regarding i4Siri.
