We have got an important update for jailbreakers. Pod2g, the renowned iOS hacker and the genius mind behind iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak has just updated his work status regarding A5 devices and has said that users can expect a release in a week.

I made a step today for the A5. With some luck we could expect a release in a week.

He announced about his progress and expected release in his latest tweet. Looking at what he has mentioned, we believe that he has made a good progress for A5 untethered jailbreak and he might be finalizing his work.

For those who don’t know, Pod2g is a famous iOS hacker and a member of Chronic Dev Team. He recently released his jailbreak designed to untether A4 powered iOS devices runing iOS 5/5.0.1.

If you guys remember, Pod2g after handing over his untethered jailbreak to Chronic Dev Team had announced that he is going to focus on A5 devices. And today, he finally broke the silence with another update and looks like we’re very close to the release of A5 untethered jailbreak on 5.0.1.
